Age: 18 years or over
Medical: Medical form req.
Previous Experience: Nil.
Duration of Course: 5 days Course
Locations: Las Vegas / Other areas by arrangement

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

It should be understood that work at height and the Industrial Rope Access courses, of all levels, involve physical and mental exertion. Certain medical conditions are a definite contraindication to the safe and successful completion of courses. A self certified medical form is required for all candidates and a full medical required for people with contra indications.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This is a 5-day intensive training programme designed to ensure students are competent in all Industrial Rope Access techniques currently used in a variety of exposed situation.

 LEVEL 1 CAPABILITIES INFO 

Level 1 technicians are capable of performing a full range of Rope Access techniques on site under the supervision of a Rope Access Safety Supervisor.

The IRATA Level 1 technician will be responsible for the maintenance and examination of personal Rope Access equipment and will assist the Supervisor in rigging and rescue. A 'Level 1' should be capable of executing simple rescue scenarios following a brief from the Supervisor. Current legislation, company access and safety procedures are included in the course.

The course includes both continual assessment and final examination by an independent IRATA appointed assessor. On successful completion, the student will be authorised to operate supervised in an Industrial environment.
