INDUSTRIAL ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Age: 18 years or over
Medical: Medical form req.
Previous Experience: Level 1 + 1000hrs + 12 months work experience direct entry is available for suitable candidates.
Other Requirements: Current IRATA certificate,
                                         Up to date IRATA log book,
                                         1 Passport photograph                                          (signed on the reverse),
                                         SS/ N.I./Passport number
Duration of Course: : 5 days Course
Locations: N. Wales / London / Other areas by arrangement

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS

It should be understood that work at height and the Industrial Rope Access courses, of all levels, involve physical and mental exertion. Certain medical conditions are a definite contraindication to the safe and successful completion of courses. A self certified medical form is required for all candidates and a full medical required for people with contra indications.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This will be a 5 day intensive training programme designed to ensure that students are competent to become the lead technician who is capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing other rope access tasks under the supervision of a level 3 supervisor.

 LEVEL 2 CAPABILITIES INFO 

A level 2 rope access technician shall be capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing rope access tasks (under the supervision of an IRATA level 3 rope access technician). He/she should have some knowledge of legislation, safety requirements and quality assurance procedures relating to rope access.

The course includes both continual assessment and final examination by an independent IRATA appointed assessor. On successful completion, the student will be authorised to be a lead technician who operates supervised in an Industrial environment.
